The Serralles Castle has to be one of our favorite venues of 2016… and well, possibly of all time. The castle was built in the 1930’s by the Serrallés family, known for their development of the sugar industry and its main derivative, rum. Needless to say, we enjoyed a weekend full of beautiful views, authentic people, and good rum (YUM!)!
Since when can we get away with tank tops mid January in Chicago? We certainly took advantage of the warmest day of the season. Here’s a little snippet of my personal favs! Take a peek at that ice covered lake for proof 😉
This has to be one of my favorites of the year. Not only because of their beautifully crafted wedding, but more so to have such a genuine couple madly in love, there’s simply nothing better. Congrats you two!
Venue: Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake, IL
I was so giddy when Ameen came to me asking to capture his proposal surprise for Samina. I don’t think he could have chosen a more beautiful backdrop for the most important question! I loved being there to capture your raw and beautiful moments <3
Can’t wait to celebrate more with you two!

Fall wedding in the midwest? It doesn’t get much better than this.
There is something extra special when another photographer selects you to capture their very own wedding. It feels like a collaboration of sorts 🙂 As if I wasn’t already obsessed with my job..gah! Daniel and Bailey, I cannot stress how much fun your wedding day was for us. We were spoiled in every aspect.
It’s rare to shoot at a new venue, especially one this brilliant. There isn’t one element I would change. The Farm at Dover is curated to perfection with the Victorian Bed and Breakfast as the bridal suite, taxidermy-filled cabin for the gents, endless gardens with subtle vintage fountains and birdhouses, sigh, the list goes on…
