The whole team traveled down to Indiana University to capture Ravi and Parisha’s wedding weekend. We had the afternoon off and decided to explore the nearby lakes. After finding this location we begged Ravi and Parisha to join us for a few evening portraits before the Sangeet. Was it worth it? I’d say so.
This has to be one of my favorites of the year. Not only because of their beautifully crafted wedding, but more so to have such a genuine couple madly in love, there’s simply nothing better. Congrats you two!
Venue: Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake, IL

Fall wedding in the midwest? It doesn’t get much better than this.
There is something extra special when another photographer selects you to capture their very own wedding. It feels like a collaboration of sorts 🙂 As if I wasn’t already obsessed with my job..gah! Daniel and Bailey, I cannot stress how much fun your wedding day was for us. We were spoiled in every aspect.
It’s rare to shoot at a new venue, especially one this brilliant. There isn’t one element I would change. The Farm at Dover is curated to perfection with the Victorian Bed and Breakfast as the bridal suite, taxidermy-filled cabin for the gents, endless gardens with subtle vintage fountains and birdhouses, sigh, the list goes on…
Take a peek at the groom’s beautiful photography work here!
The rain couldn’t hold these two back from the outdoors. We still partied all night in Hannah’s childhood backyard for their reception. Even on a rainy day, I’d choose a backyard wedding!
Two hours and two margaritas into our first meet, and Amber and I knew we would be long time friends. Though my associate photographer, Stephen, was their photographer for the day I couldn’t help but crash their meetings along the way! Every single detail was curated by Amber and her mom- I’m still so jealous Stephen and Josh were there to capture your day!
Amber, you were simply glowing.

In all my years of documenting weddings, I’ve never had so much fun during a wedding exit.
The confetti spare no one…
mouthful of confetti,
confetti in their eyelids,
5 hours later I was still leaving a confetti trail across the venue.
Needless to say, it was a success.
Elly and Alex, you are wonderfully brave souls. It was worth the mouthful of confetti Elly, I promise!
