Chicago Wedding on A Boat

March 8, 2014

love. boat. sunshine. waves. exploration. family.

I learned shortly after getting to meet Matthew and Laura, that they didn’t simply want their Chicago wedding on a yacht to be about the two of them, they wanted those closest to them to feel just as engaged and overjoyed as they did.

They wanted something sophisticated, something relaxed, something for the whole family to enjoy. That something just happened to be a intimate cruise along the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan, anchoring up to Buckingham Fountain, and saying I do with their loved ones as witnesses. Something was different for me at this wedding- and no, it wasn’t due to the extravagant scenery or golden cast waters. It was a feeling, an atmosphere, a manifestation of commitment, and celebration between family and friends.

These are the things that stir up excitement in me.

These are the reasons I do what I do.

It’s the love I have for people & the love I have for love.
